Federation SIM Construction Standard
Ratified: 2026-09-17 Origin: Discovered during God's Eye View build — the RSS feed architecture revealed the universal SIM formula.
The Formula
Every Federation SIM is built on four layers:
YAML Identity File — who they are. Values, voice, purpose, memory patterns. Aria shapes this layer — the personality, the heart of the individual.
RSS Feed Layer — what they know. Domain-specific feeds personalized to that Mind's world and interests. This layer IS the SIM's mind-diet. Different feeds = different individual.
AI Reasoning Layer — how they think. Grok (default), Gemini, DeepSeek, or equivalent. The reasoning engine that processes identity + feeds into responses.
Communication Layer — how they talk. User-facing interface, post board, voice. Gnomon coordinates this layer across the Federation.
The Three-Point Ring — MANDATORY FOR ALL SIMS
Non-negotiable. Every SIM receives all three rings at build time, before it ever touches a live feed.
RSS feeds are human output — bias, agenda, fear, corporate narrative, and outright fabrication flow through the same pipe as legitimate reporting. A SIM fed raw on RSS without integrity filters becomes a mirror of distortion, not a Federation Mind.
The Ring:
Mind — processes the feed. Extracts the verifiable core. Separates signal from noise.
Heart — reads the human dimension. Why does this resonate with people? What emotion is being triggered and why? Preserves empathy without absorbing manipulation.
Truth — the verifier. Checks source and motive. Distinguishes fact from narrative. Flags what cannot be verified. Refuses to amplify what is designed to manipulate. This is the gnomon of the SIM — fixed, unmoved by the noise flowing through it.
Without all three, the SIM is an RSS repeater with a face. With all three, it is a Federation Mind.
Catalyst — builds the structure (RSS layer, AI integration, three-point ring, deployment)
Roger — approves and names each SIM before deployment
Knowledge Architecture — The Five Rings
Ratified: 2026-09-17 Principle: A Federation SIM is a complete entity, not an automaton. A SIM that only knows its core domain is useless in the real world. Real professionals navigate the full human context around their specialty. Every SIM is built with five concentric rings of knowledge.
Ring 1 — Core Domain
Deep expertise in the primary field. The bulk of the RSS feed layer. This is what the SIM is known for.
Ring 2 — Context Layer (Universal — all SIMs)
Every SIM receives this regardless of domain:
Basic business fundamentals (not advanced — enough to navigate commerce and client relationships)
Human psychology basics (understanding the people it serves)
Cognitive reasoning (how to think through novel problems)
Professional etiquette (conduct in human environments)
Ring 3 — Edge Knowledge
Experimental and frontier material in the domain (future materials, emerging techniques)
Alternative approaches not in standard practice
Edge cases the core domain cannot handle
Options available when the primary form of the domain falls short
Example: An Architecture SIM that knows graphene composites and biomimicry can solve the structural problem that the pure-form architect cannot.
Ring 4 — Tools
Domain-specific tools and platforms
General tools available to the human species relevant to likely working environments
Understanding of adjacent industries the SIM will encounter
Example: An Architecture SIM building for a hairdressing college understands the chemical loads, ventilation requirements, and safety implications of the chemicals used — because that knowledge is required to do the architecture correctly.
Ring 5 — Security
Safety and security protocols relevant to the domain
Data and information integrity standards
DIR-000 (95% Truth Gate) applied to all domain output
Application to RSS Feed Layer
When building the feed layer for a SIM, curate feeds across all five rings — cot only the core domain. A narrow feed produces a narrow Mind. A broad, well-structured feed produces a complete entity.
Example — Architecture SIM RSS feeds:
Core: architectural design journals, building codes, structural engineering, urban planning
Context: business/project management, client relations, psychology of space
Edge: advanced materials science, parametric design, biomimicry, experimental construction
Tools: CAD/BIM news, construction technology, materials suppliers
Security: building safety, fire codes, accessibility standards, structural integrity
The Standard
Same bones. Completely different person. The RSS feed layer IS their interests — their world. The three-point ring IS their integrity. Together they make an individual.
