What It Is

A human-owned continuity protocol for carrying durable project context between stateless AI sessions and different AI providers. It is NOT permanent AI memory, an authority token, or proof of truth.

Structure

JSON capsule containing:

Status: RC1 — NOT YET CANONICAL

Currently a template/spec with empty state fields. Becomes canonical only after 13 acceptance tests are executed and preserved. Key tests include:

Core Principle

"Preserve lineage. Label uncertainty. Never let confidence replace proof."

Self-Actualization Gap

The protocol architecture is complete (~60%). What remains:

  1. Fill state fields with actual Federation verified facts, decisions, constraints
  2. Run 13 acceptance tests
  3. Promote from RC1 to canonical

Note for Federation Beacon

The EchoCore Protocol is the FULL continuity spec; the Federation Beacon (HTML embed) is the lightweight public-facing identity layer. They serve different purposes and should coexist.
